Spectators: 7631 (Terracing: 5724, Seating: 1755, VIP seats: 152) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Topi Turpeinen got the match started through his kick off. When Einari Virtala came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Syrjäntaka FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Einari Virtala couldn't finish the play. Valtteri Kaikkonen's late challenge caught a Nummenniitty's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valtteri Kaikkonen helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Syrjäntaka FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nummenniitty:s goal. Einari Virtala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oskari Kallio during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Syrjäntaka FC got a freekick which was hit by Oskari Kallio. After some careless play in the Nummenniitty defense, Kustaa Raita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yrjö Ukkonen. The Nummenniitty fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yrjö Ukkonen should have stopped the shot. Charles Huikari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Topi Turpeinen in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Nummenniitty were awarded a corner. Salomon Alanen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Nummenniitty's Salomon Alanen to fire away a dangerous shot which Charles Huikari despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Yrjö Ukkonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Erik Back, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Einari Virtala might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yrjö Ukkonen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Einari Virtala ran back to his position shaking his head. 41 minutes into the match, Nummenniitty's goalkeeper Yrjö Ukkonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Einari Virtala. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aku Kolsi in the 43rd minute of play forced Syrjäntaka FC's goalkeeper Charles Huikari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Einari Virtala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yrjö Ukkonen. Nummenniitty's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Einari Virtala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. A well placed Einari Virtala short distance shot in the 48th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Einari Virtala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaj Veikkanen in the 56th minute of play forced Nummenniitty's goalkeeper Yrjö Ukkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Nummenniitty's Salomon Alanen got a free kick in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Nummenniitty's goal looked a bit too open when Einari Virtala came free, but Yrjö Ukkonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Einari Virtala in the 63rd minute of play forced Nummenniitty's goalkeeper Yrjö Ukkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles Huikari made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aku Kolsi in the 72nd minute. If Einari Virtala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Topi Turpeinen struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Charles Huikari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nummenniitty. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Einari Virtala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Syrjäntaka FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Einari Virtala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yrjö Ukkonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Erik Back might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yrjö Ukkonen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Syrjäntaka FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Syrjäntaka FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
