FC Menetelmä's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jokilahti the free kick. The referee gave Jokilahti a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anssi Leonoff, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Menetelmä's Vilho Lindberg. 0-1. Patrik Paaso struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Alfred Halminen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Menetelmä. If Kerkko Toivanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viljo Seppä hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Patrik Paaso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Menetelmä's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrik Paaso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrik Paaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Halminen came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Menetelmä's Kerkko Toivanen. But to his dismay, Kerkko Toivanen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alfred Halminen made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Patrik Paaso sent off a good shot on target. Alfred Halminen came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Menetelmä's Leonard Tyski. But to his dismay, Leonard Tyski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ertan Sarphan in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vilho Lindberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kerkko Toivanen kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. FC Menetelmä's Patrik Paaso got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martti Salonen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Halminen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Valto Lepistö received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Vilho Lindberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ertan Sarphan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vilho Lindberg. That made the score 3-2 in the 54 minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, FC Menetelmä's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Lampinen came free, but Vilho Lindberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Ertan Sarphan sped through FC Menetelmä's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vilho Lindberg. Patrik Paaso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Halminen having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Valto Lepistö got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Menetelmä's Onni Hytönen was substituted for Patrik Paaso. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonard Tyski in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Halminen saved Jokilahti from getting behind. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 5-3 when Leonard Tyski sped through Jokilahti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfred Halminen. FC Menetelmä's Onni Hytönen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Paul Saastamoinen in the 88 minute of the game. Alfred Halminen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Tyski in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match FC Menetelmä got a corner. Jokilahti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Onni Hytönen ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Menetelmä had played much better football throughout.
