Robert Tikka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pellervo Keinänen, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 4 minutes into the match, Pellervo Keinänen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Helsinki City's Robert Tikka. Sercan Ergül took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teppo Järvenpää, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Teppo Järvenpää managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helsinki City's supporters rose to their feet, but Teppo Järvenpää was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sercan Ergül breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theagenis Papakonstantinou hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in HELL-SIN-KI's zone, Sylvesteri Saira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sercan Ergül came out of the goal and Sylvesteri Saira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teppo Järvenpää blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sercan Ergül having to make a save. After 26 played minutes HELL-SIN-KI got a freekick which was hit by Aarno Mantila. Sercan Ergül showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Chayo in the 28th minute of the match. Sercan Ergül had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Teppo Järvenpää's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rıfkı Karun kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Frank Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. HELL-SIN-KI's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Tikka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The Helsinki City fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Helsinki City's Denis Chayo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sercan Ergül didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sylvesteri Saira went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of HELL-SIN-KI booed when Helsinki City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teppo Järvenpää didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teppo Järvenpää fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sercan Ergül having to interfere. Robert Tikka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theagenis Papakonstantinou in the 73rd minute. HELL-SIN-KI's supporters rose to their feet, but Pellervo Keinänen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. HELL-SIN-KI's Sercan Ergül played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teppo Järvenpää in the 93rd minute of play. Frank Velasco's late challenge caught a Helsinki City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Velasco helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes HELL-SIN-KI got a freekick which was hit by Frank Velasco. After a rather tough play, Helsinki City's Sylvesteri Tikkanen got a free kick in the 96th minute. Helsinki City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
