Mika Keinänen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmo Marttila having to interfere. Olavi Sanevuori hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Mika Keinänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Topi Laurila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Osmo Marttila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Topi Laurila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osmo Marttila having to make a save. Onterhuhta's Osmo Marttila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mika Keinänen in the 25th minute of play. Topi Laurila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmo Marttila having to interfere. Onterhuhta's Osmo Marttila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mika Keinänen in the 36th minute of play. Mika Keinänen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Osmo Marttila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Huutokoski IFK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mika Keinänen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Onterhuhta's Osmo Marttila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mika Keinänen in the 58th minute of play. After 64 minutes of play, Huutokoski IFK's Topi Laurila made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmo Marttila was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mika Keinänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavi Sanevuori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Huutokoski IFK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Samuel Heinikallio hit a great ball. If Mika Keinänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osmo Marttila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Topi Laurila in the 80th minute. Topi Laurila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Osmo Marttila when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th minute Mika Keinänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmo Marttila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Onterhuhta supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Huutokoski IFK's performance. The match ended with a win for Huutokoski IFK.
