After 12 minutes, Keimo Kuparinen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Broberg IF and the Malminkartanon PeTo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Broberg IF getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Keimo Kuparinen hit a great ball. Hannu Nybacka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henri Seppo having to interfere. Sylvesteri Koivunen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henri Seppo having to make a save. After 16 played minutes Broberg IF got a freekick which was hit by Saku Nikkinen. Alpo Lahti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jalmari Pietilä read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Tuomas Halminen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Broberg IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuomas Halminen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Tuomas Halminen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jalmari Pietilä was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Sylvesteri Koivunen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Henri Seppo made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Broberg IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Malminkartanon PeTo:s goal. When Sylvesteri Koivunen came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Malminkartanon PeTo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylvesteri Koivunen couldn't finish the play. Henri Seppo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylvesteri Koivunen in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Malminkartanon PeTo getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lari Kapanen hit a great ball. Tuomas Halminen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jalmari Pietilä having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hannu Nybacka to strike the kick off in the second half. Ilppo Louke kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Hannu Nybacka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malminkartanon PeTo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sylvesteri Koivunen struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Henri Seppo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malminkartanon PeTo. Kustaa Paukkunen's late challenge caught a Broberg IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kustaa Paukkunen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Broberg IF booed when Malminkartanon PeTo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kustaa Paukkunen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sylvesteri Koivunen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Henri Seppo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Malminkartanon PeTo's zone, Alpo Lahti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jalmari Pietilä came out of the goal and Alpo Lahti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keimo Kuparinen in the 79th minute of play forced Malminkartanon PeTo's goalkeeper Jalmari Pietilä to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sylvesteri Koivunen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute, Roni Kautonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sylvesteri Koivunen struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Henri Seppo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malminkartanon PeTo. 90 minutes into the match, Broberg IF's goal looked a bit too open when Hannu Nybacka came free, but Henri Seppo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alpo Lahti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Jalmari Pietilä skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Broberg IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Malminkartanon PeTo.
