Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) When Niko Rimpilä fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westbay FF's protests and gave Niko Rimpilä a yellow card for diving instead. If Seppo Haapamäki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the match, Seppo Haapamäki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leif Nylund. Westbay FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Seppo Haapamäki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Arvi Salermo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Jaakko Somervuori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westbay FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaakko Somervuori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 played minutes Raiteepee got a freekick which was hit by Tarvo Voutilainen. Lasse Vapamaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pasi Manneroos hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Uuno Kanerva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Seppo Haapamäki might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leif Nylund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Seppo Haapamäki ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Seppo Haapamäki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raiteepee's supporters rose to their feet, but Seppo Haapamäki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leif Nylund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seppo Haapamäki struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Leif Nylund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raiteepee. In the 40th minute Arvi Salermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Untamo Hedberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niko Rimpilä kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Seppo Haapamäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Westbay FF getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Niko Rimpilä hit a great ball. After 50 minutes Westbay FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juha-Pekka Järvensivu who took care of the corner kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Seppo Haapamäki was the one to do the kick off. Leif Nylund was a little too slow when Seppo Haapamäki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-3. Nikodemus Alatalo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Leif Nylund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Juha-Pekka Järvensivu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes Raiteepee got a freekick which was hit by Pasi Manneroos. When Jaakko Somervuori came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Westbay FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaakko Somervuori couldn't finish the play. Lasse Vapamaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lasse Vapamaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leif Nylund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seppo Haapamäki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
