Ilari Jokela started the match with the kick off. Toimi Ojanen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikodemus Lahikainen went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. FC Kilpi's Toimi Ojanen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikodemus Lahikainen in the 8th minute of play. Heikki Tukio made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Hermanni Nylund sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Kilpi's goalkeeper Toimi Ojanen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute of the match Oiva Kilpelä sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toimi Ojanen skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilari Jokela in the 24th minute of play forced Hormajärvi's goalkeeper Heikki Tukio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikodemus Lahikainen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toimi Ojanen having to interfere. Toimi Ojanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikodemus Lahikainen in the 31st minute of the match. Hormajärvi's Heikki Tukio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilari Jokela in the 33rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Allan Kauppila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jyrki Lehtilä hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikodemus Lahikainen to make the kick off. Ilari Jokela hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Marko Nikkinen kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Nikodemus Lahikainen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hormajärvi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikodemus Lahikainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 61 played minutes FC Kilpi got a freekick which was hit by Ilari Jokela. Ilari Jokela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heikki Tukio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Toimi Ojanen had great luck who in the 70thth minute grab hold of the ball when Nikodemus Lahikainen from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jyrki Lehtilä hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 73 played minutes, FC Kilpi's Unto Joensuu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Heikki Tukio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Kilpi reached it. Hermanni Nylund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Kilpi's Hermanni Nylund got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marko Nikkinen hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Nikodemus Lahikainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 82 minutes, Nikodemus Lahikainen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hormajärvi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikodemus Lahikainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauno Perämäki got free with Toimi Ojanen in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marko Nikkinen kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Aaro Teräs sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Kilpi's Toimi Ojanen didn't even have to move. Hermanni Nylund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heikki Tukio having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hormajärvi walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
