The supporters of Kuurtola booed when Puntarniemi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petteri Torkkeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teemu Henriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eino Uitto fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kuurtola's protests and gave Eino Uitto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kuurtola's Eino Uitto got a free kick in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Kuurtola's Teemu Henriksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aapeli Lindström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Kuurtola's Teemu Henriksson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aapeli Lindström. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. Puntarniemi FC's Aapeli Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teemu Henriksson in the 27th minute of play. Usko Raisanen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Aapeli Lindström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 36 played minutes, Puntarniemi FC's Eero Helin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antti Lydman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Kuurtola's Antti Lydman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuukka Tähtinen in the 37th minute of play. After some careless play in the Kuurtola defense, Tuukka Tähtinen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antti Lydman. The Kuurtola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antti Lydman should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Kuurtola's Usko Raisanen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aapeli Lindström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Puntarniemi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teemu Henriksson came free, but Aapeli Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Puntarniemi FC's Aapeli Lindström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Puntarniemi FC from getting a goal against them. Aapeli Lindström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Usko Raisanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82ndth minute of the game Usko Raisanen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Puntarniemi FC's Aapeli Lindström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th minute, Tuukka Tähtinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute Julius Jaakola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antti Lydman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilkka Hagman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aapeli Lindström. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
