Heikki Tukio made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Väinö Nylund sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Fesbra booed when Hormajärvi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roope Ilola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teppo Hannukainen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Heikki Tukio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 36 minutes of play Fesbra's Teppo Hannukainen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ali Peltola made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jyrki Lehtilä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paavo Moskuvaara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikodemus Lahikainen in the 54th minute of the match. Väinö Nylund charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The corner led Hormajärvi's Aaro Teräs to fire away a dangerous shot which Paavo Moskuvaara despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Hormajärvi getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Allan Kauppila hit a great ball. Hormajärvi's Heikki Tukio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Väinö Nylund in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Peltola in the 68th minute of play forced Hormajärvi's goalkeeper Heikki Tukio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilho Eronen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Heikki Tukio came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fesbra's Vilho Eronen. But to his dismay, Vilho Eronen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Heikki Tukio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Peltola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Paavo Moskuvaara managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Hormajärvi's Mauno Perämäki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Väinö Nylund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heikki Tukio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hormajärvi's zone, Teijo Viisala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heikki Tukio came out of the goal and Teijo Viisala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Väinö Nylund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilho Eronen in the 86th minute of play forced Hormajärvi's goalkeeper Heikki Tukio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Väinö Nylund might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heikki Tukio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Väinö Nylund ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Väinö Nylund in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heikki Tukio saved Hormajärvi from getting behind. If Vilho Eronen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rauno Alatalo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Väinö Nylund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Väinö Nylund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heikki Tukio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fesbra had played much better football throughout.
