After 4 minutes, Juuso Kukkamäki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nedsjö and the Kuurtola players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teemu Henriksson in the 10th minute of play forced Nedsjö's goalkeeper Kerkko Numminen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Teemu Henriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teemu Henriksson in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kerkko Numminen saved Nedsjö from getting behind. Kerkko Numminen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teemu Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teemu Henriksson in the 25th minute of play forced Nedsjö's goalkeeper Kerkko Numminen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kerkko Numminen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teemu Henriksson's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 32nd match minute, Nedsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Luusua to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Juha Myllyniemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Teemu Henriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kuurtola fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Antti Lydman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eerik Meriläinen in the 54th minute of play. If Juuso Kukkamäki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Eerik Meriläinen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nedsjö's supporters rose to their feet, but Eerik Meriläinen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antti Lydman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th match minute, Nedsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juuso Kukkamäki to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Kuurtola getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Kuisma Viklund hit a great ball. Usko Raisanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kerkko Numminen made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Usko Raisanen sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, Nedsjö's goal looked a bit too open when Teemu Henriksson came free, but Kerkko Numminen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kerkko Numminen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Usko Raisanen in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Luusua during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Nedsjö defense, Usko Raisanen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kerkko Numminen. Kerkko Numminen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Usko Raisanen went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kuurtola had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
