Spectators: 6100 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Seppo Tallqvist took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jarkko Tervo was a little too slow when Seppo Tallqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ilkka Heikkinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timo Kaukomaa having to interfere. With his leg Jarkko Tervo managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when KESKUSTAN HK's Yrjö Virolainen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Iikka Junkka hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. KESKUSTAN HK's Seppo Tallqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilkka Heikkinen in the 25th minute of play forced KESKUSTAN HK's goalkeeper Timo Kaukomaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ziiga's goal looked a bit too open when Seppo Tallqvist came free, but Jarkko Tervo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, KESKUSTAN HK's Pauli Penttilä got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Matti Reimari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KESKUSTAN HK's Timo Kaukomaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilkka Heikkinen in the 36th minute of play. If Ilkka Heikkinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Seppo Tallqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarkko Tervo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ziiga's Jarkko Tervo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seppo Tallqvist in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matti Reimari made a kick off. Ilkka Heikkinen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Timo Kaukomaa made a huge save. Jarkko Tervo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seppo Tallqvist in the 57th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Juha-Pekka Valjakka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A very good chance for a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Ziiga's goal looked a bit too open when Yrjö Virolainen came free, but Jarkko Tervo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KESKUSTAN HK's Timo Kaukomaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matti Reimari in the 93rd minute of play. Ziiga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
