An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvar Kallijärvi in the 21st minute of play forced Paksal FC's goalkeeper Hemminki Alin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Manchester City's Rafael Kampman tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hemminki Alin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvar Kallijärvi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Paksal FC's goalkeeper Hemminki Alin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tauno Wahlroos. 37 minutes into the match, Manchester City's Alvar Kallijärvi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hemminki Alin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Samuli Etula charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Veijo Hagelberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Tauno Timoska had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veijo Hagelberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manne Kopelmo in the 56th minute. Tauno Timoska struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Veijo Hagelberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paksal FC. Jukka Siponen hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tauno Timoska received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Veijo Hagelberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
