Topias Manneroos ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabriel Roiha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilari Holtti having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimo Kuparinen got free with Ilari Holtti in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Roiha in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilari Holtti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Yrjänä Reinikka fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diako AC's protests and gave Yrjänä Reinikka a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Liharuusu booed when Diako AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yrjänä Reinikka didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, Liharuusu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rainer Lumijärvi to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Roiha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Raimo Kuparinen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ilari Holtti, passed just outside the right post.

The wind increased when Gabriel Roiha made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Liharuusu's Topias Manneroos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tarmo Kärki. Tarmo Kärki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Gabriel Roiha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilari Holtti having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimo Kuparinen in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilari Holtti saved Liharuusu from getting behind. Ilari Holtti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimo Kuparinen in the 67th minute of the match. Ilari Holtti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimo Kuparinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alvar Kärnä fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Rainer Lumijärvi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liharuusu's supporters rose to their feet, but Rainer Lumijärvi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tarmo Kärki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rainer Lumijärvi struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Tarmo Kärki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liharuusu. In the 88th minute, Raimo Kuparinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Roiha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ilari Holtti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liharuusu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
