Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) Pekko Tuomisalo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 3 minutes, Kullervo Valkealahti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karankamäki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kullervo Valkealahti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pekko Tuomisalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Visa Pihkala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kullervo Valkealahti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Visa Pihkala having to interfere. Karankamäki's Pekko Tuomisalo got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kullervo Valkealahti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Visa Pihkala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Pekko Tuomisalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Visa Pihkala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in fc yliutos's zone, Kullervo Valkealahti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Visa Pihkala came out of the goal and Kullervo Valkealahti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pekko Tuomisalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Ilkka Kokko made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Karankamäki's goal looked a bit too open when Ilkka Kokko came free, but Petri Petsamo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Kullervo Valkealahti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Visa Pihkala was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Pekko Tuomisalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Visa Pihkala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pekko Tuomisalo in the 64th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kullervo Valkealahti got free with Visa Pihkala in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Pekko Tuomisalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pekko Tuomisalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joni Viitanen's late challenge caught a Karankamäki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joni Viitanen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to fc yliutos getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Joni Viitanen hit a great ball. The fc yliutos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karankamäki were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
