Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Erno Jantunen got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Erno Jantunen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virgin's supporters rose to their feet, but Erno Jantunen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teppo Vähäsavo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Teppo Vähäsavo managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Virgin's Jouko Ihanamäki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Virgin's Erno Jantunen managed to work through Heinäperä's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Erno Jantunen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Jouko Ihanamäki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teppo Vähäsavo having to make a save. In the 21st minute, Sampo Nybacka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Heinäperä's Samuel Kuusinen got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Rafael Heinikangas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aleksis Korkeakoski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Erno Jantunen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teppo Vähäsavo having to interfere. Teppo Vähäsavo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erno Jantunen, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Aleksis Korkeakoski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Heinikangas in the 45th minute of the match. Sampo Nybacka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Heinikangas made a kick off. Erno Jantunen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Teppo Vähäsavo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Virgin's Aleksis Korkeakoski got control of the ball when Herkko Vihermäki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teppo Vähäsavo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erno Jantunen in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Erno Jantunen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teppo Vähäsavo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Virgin's Aleksis Korkeakoski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Heinikangas in the 69th minute of play. Herkko Vihermäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joonatan Aho kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Erno Jantunen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Teppo Vähäsavo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jouko Ihanamäki took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teppo Vähäsavo. Teppo Vähäsavo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Aleksis Korkeakoski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Heinikangas in the 86th minute of the match. Aleksis Korkeakoski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herkko Vihermäki in the 88th minute. Jouko Ihanamäki might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teppo Vähäsavo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jouko Ihanamäki ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st minute Jouko Ihanamäki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teppo Vähäsavo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgin's Erno Jantunen got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Virgin had won after a very even match.
