Spectators: 6933 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Atso Welling kicked off to start the match. Olli-Pekka Alenius kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th match minute, Ahmovaara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaro Uusipaavalniemi to maneuver through the defense. Arvo Nieminen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesse Perälä, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Atso Welling had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arvo Nieminen. Ahmovaara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atso Welling was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Atso Welling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kimmo Välimäki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Ahmovaara's goal looked a bit too open when Atso Welling came free, but Arvo Nieminen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daavid Hiukka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miika Huhtiniemi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Arvo Nieminen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atso Welling's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Kimmo Välimäki took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arvo Nieminen. Arvo Nieminen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Riffe United's Atso Welling got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atso Welling in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arvo Nieminen saved Ahmovaara from getting behind. Daavid Hiukka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reko Reinikainen in the 35th minute. Atso Welling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvo Nieminen having to interfere. Atso Welling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mika Niemelä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Ahmovaara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Riffe United were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miika Huhtiniemi to make the kick off. Kimmo Välimäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvo Nieminen having to interfere. Atso Welling was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Riffe United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Atso Welling in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arvo Nieminen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With an all-out effort, Riffe United's Arvo Nieminen threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kimmo Välimäki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Atso Welling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ahmovaara's Aaro Uusipaavalniemi got a free kick in the 68th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Reko Reinikainen notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Riffe United's Daavid Hiukka. Daavid Hiukka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Atso Welling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Riffe United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ahmovaara throughout the match.
