Atso Welling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Herkko Gustafsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Atso Welling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riffe United's supporters rose to their feet, but Atso Welling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herkko Gustafsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herkko Gustafsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kimmo Välimäki, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Herkko Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atso Welling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute Heimo Rahikainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daavid Hiukka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesse Perälä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sami Tervo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kauko Virta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Herkko Gustafsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Kyljys's goalkeeper Herkko Gustafsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sami Tervo. When Kimmo Välimäki came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Riffe United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kimmo Välimäki couldn't finish the play. Daavid Hiukka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ukko Helkamo in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Kyljys booed when Riffe United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kimmo Välimäki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sami Tervo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daavid Hiukka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ukko Helkamo went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Herkko Gustafsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riffe United. Riffe United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
