A collision led to Imatran palloseura getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Toni Veikkanen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eetu Haapaniemi in the 14th minute of play forced Lamperi's goalkeeper Rasmus Virtanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petri Vallin during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lamperi's Petri Vallin got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 18th play minute Daniel Hakaniemi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tero Kallio. 1-0. In the 27th match minute, Lamperi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turkka Paatelainen to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes, Heimo Räikkönen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imatran palloseura and the Lamperi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Eetu Haapaniemi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rasmus Virtanen was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Toni Veikkanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rasmus Virtanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Huttunen, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Into Kouhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eetu Haapaniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Lamperi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Toni Veikkanen scored to the left of an out of position Rasmus Virtanen, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Huttunen in the 58th minute of play forced Lamperi's goalkeeper Rasmus Virtanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Julius Huttunen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Eetu Haapaniemi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rasmus Virtanen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Julius Huttunen struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Rasmus Virtanen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imatran palloseura. The supporters of Imatran palloseura booed when Lamperi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iisakki Rahkola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Lamperi defense, Julius Huttunen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rasmus Virtanen. The Lamperi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rasmus Virtanen should have stopped the shot.
