When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Tapani Lehterä took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jukka Viander to make any attempt to save it. When Mika Uitto came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the fc nix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mika Uitto couldn't finish the play. Tapani Lehterä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jukka Viander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute Tero Pikkarainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kari Kaski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tapani Lehterä made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tapani Lehterä in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jukka Viander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. fc nix's Jukka Viander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tapani Lehterä in the 60th minute of play. Jukka Viander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tapani Lehterä, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Otto Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roni Heikkinen's late challenge caught a fc nix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Lindström in the 74th minute of play forced Porkanranta's goalkeeper Kari Kaski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
