Spectators: 6927 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tapani Lehterä kicked off to start the match. Tampereen palloveikot's Kari Haanpää got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Tampereen palloveikot's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roni Heikkinen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 12th minute, Rasmus Kirjonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kari Haanpää recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 17 played minutes Tampereen palloveikot got a freekick which was hit by Aapo Nybacka. In the 18th match minute, Tampereen palloveikot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aapo Nybacka to maneuver through the defense. When Tapani Lehterä came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Porkanranta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tapani Lehterä couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porkanranta's goalkeeper Kari Kaski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tampereen palloveikot's Kari Haanpää got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antti Palonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tapani Lehterä in the 31st minute of the match. Roni Heikkinen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Antti Palonen made a huge save. 34 minutes in the game, Tapani Lehterä dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, Tampereen palloveikot's Teijo Huppunen got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Aapo Nybacka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tampereen palloveikot's supporters rose to their feet, but Aapo Nybacka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kari Kaski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kari Kaski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kari Haanpää in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tampereen palloveikot's Teijo Huppunen got a free kick in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aapo Nybacka to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Aapo Nybacka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kari Kaski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Toimi Tallus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kari Haanpää hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Kari Kaski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aapo Nybacka in the 72nd minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Aapo Nybacka reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kari Kaski. The goal made the score 0-2. Kari Kaski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aapo Nybacka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tapani Lehterä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roni Heikkinen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antti Palonen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tampereen palloveikot eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
