The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Keijo Blom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herman Viinanen having to interfere. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olutkerho's goalkeeper Herman Viinanen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Keijo Vihtilä in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herman Viinanen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Herman Viinanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keijo Blom, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Olutkerho's goal looked a bit too open when Keijo Blom came free, but Herman Viinanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Keijo Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Myras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keijo Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tarvo Lehtilä's late challenge caught a Myras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tarvo Lehtilä helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Olutkerho's Tarvo Lehtilä got a free kick in the 24th minute. Keijo Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Herman Viinanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keijo Vihtilä struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Herman Viinanen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Myras FC. Iiro Laakso might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eerik Järvenperä. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iiro Laakso ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute Tarvo Lehtilä shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eerik Järvenperä saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keijo Vihtilä might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herman Viinanen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Keijo Vihtilä ran back to his position shaking his head. Keijo Blom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herman Viinanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keijo Blom in the 43rd minute of the match. Herman Viinanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keijo Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Keijo Blom was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Olutkerho's goal looked a bit too open when Keijo Blom came free, but Herman Viinanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olutkerho's Herman Viinanen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Olutkerho from getting a goal against them. Myras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olutkerho the free kick. The supporters of Olutkerho booed when Myras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onni Noponen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keijo Vihtilä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Keijo Vihtilä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keijo Vihtilä could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Herman Viinanen made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Keijo Vihtilä's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herman Viinanen was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The goalkeeper, Herman Viinanen, was totally fooled by Myras FC's Manne Mustonen, who 91 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 94th minute, Tarvo Lehtilä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herman Viinanen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keijo Vihtilä went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded Myras FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Olutkerho.
