Spectators: 7732 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Otto Lindström got the match started through his kick off. If Tero Pikkarainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haukkavaaral IFK's Jaakkima Hassinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tero Pikkarainen in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Eero Nielikäinen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jukka Viander, 1-0. fc nix's Tero Pikkarainen managed to work through Haukkavaaral IFK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tero Pikkarainen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a rather tough play, Haukkavaaral IFK's August Parkkali got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes, fc nix's Jalmari Eloranta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jaakkima Hassinen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in fc nix reached it. 24 minutes into the game, Tero Pikkarainen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jaakkima Hassinen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Haukkavaaral IFK's zone, Otto Lindström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaakkima Hassinen came out of the goal and Otto Lindström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jukka Viander came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Haukkavaaral IFK's Veijo Harinen. But to his dismay, Veijo Harinen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eero Nielikäinen to make the kick off. Jukka Viander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eero Nielikäinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as fc nix's Otto Lindström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jaakkima Hassinen. That made the score 3-3 after 57 minutes of play. Martti Torkkeli hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Eero Nielikäinen scored 4-3 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jukka Viander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the game, Haukkavaaral IFK's Veijo Harinen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jukka Viander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. Tero Pikkarainen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Tero Pikkarainen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jaakkima Hassinen. That made the score 5-4 in the 78 minute of play. If Eero Nielikäinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorma Koivula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Jaakkima Hassinen managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when fc nix's Tero Pikkarainen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jukka Viander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eero Nielikäinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Many of fc nix's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. fc nix may have spent more time on the ball, but Haukkavaaral IFK were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
