Jori Niinimäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keijo Eerola having to interfere. Keijo Eerola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ossi Tuuri in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, FC Reserve was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oiva Uusitalo to maneuver through the defense. Keijo Eerola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ossi Tuuri's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Keijo Eerola made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Valio Tuomisaari sent off a good shot on target. Vesa Kinnunen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Viljo Kauppinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viljo Kauppinen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vesa Kinnunen in the 30th minute of the match. Risto Immonen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viljo Kauppinen having to make a save. Risto Immonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Viljo Kauppinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Käyrälä's goal looked a bit too open when Vesa Kinnunen came free, but Viljo Kauppinen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Reserve's Vesa Kinnunen got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Risto Immonen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viljo Kauppinen having to make a save. If Ossi Tuuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ossi Tuuri was the one to do the kick off. Iivari Tallqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Vesa Kinnunen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Viljo Kauppinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vesa Kinnunen in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viljo Kauppinen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Käyrälä's zone, Vesa Kinnunen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viljo Kauppinen came out of the goal and Vesa Kinnunen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Risto Immonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viljo Kauppinen having to interfere. After 88 played minutes FC Reserve got a freekick which was hit by Ossi Ruohonen. The supporters of Käyrälä booed when FC Reserve was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Risto Immonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, FC Reserve's Vesa Kinnunen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Viljo Kauppinen. Viljo Kauppinen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Viljo Kauppinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vesa Kinnunen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Reserve's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
