In the 2nd minute, Allan Hakaniemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Reserve's zone, Allan Hakaniemi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keijo Eerola came out of the goal and Allan Hakaniemi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Valentin Piispa made a precise shot to the right of Keijo Eerola. FC Reserve's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th match minute, ŁKS Mlexer Elblag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mika Normio to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, FC Reserve's Aleksi Jokila tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ŁKS Mlexer Elblag's Kaapro Paatelainen got a free kick in the 17th minute. With an all-out effort, FC Reserve's Topias Martikainen threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vesa Kinnunen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Risto Immonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC Reserve's zone, Allan Hakaniemi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keijo Eerola came out of the goal and Allan Hakaniemi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Valentin Piispa managed to get in a good position for a shot. ŁKS Mlexer Elblag's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Piispa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keijo Eerola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 35 minutes on the clock, Ossi Ruohonen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Vesa Kinnunen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Topias Martikainen having to interfere. Vesa Kinnunen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half ŁKS Mlexer Elblag were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Piispa made a kick off. Valentin Piispa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Keijo Eerola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of ŁKS Mlexer Elblag booed when FC Reserve was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jyrki Latvala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Hakaniemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manne Loikala in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Topias Martikainen saved ŁKS Mlexer Elblag from getting behind. Vesa Kinnunen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Topias Martikainen having to interfere. After 82 played minutes FC Reserve got a freekick which was hit by Jyrki Latvala. Vesa Kinnunen's late challenge caught a ŁKS Mlexer Elblag's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vesa Kinnunen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, FC Reserve was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vesa Kinnunen to maneuver through the defense. Allan Hakaniemi let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 85th minute shot 0-3 at rihgt post. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Valentin Piispa managed to get in a good position for a shot. ŁKS Mlexer Elblag's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Piispa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 96th match minute, FC Reserve was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manne Loikala to maneuver through the defense. ŁKS Mlexer Elblag's Samuli Tarvajärvi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Reserve. The ŁKS Mlexer Elblag supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ŁKS Mlexer Elblag would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
