The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ac Big Balls's Niko Häkkinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuomo Lindström in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Rikhard Marttinen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Terho Voutilainen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Tuomo Lindström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niko Häkkinen having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Känsäkangas's zone, Kerkko Koivuranta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terho Voutilainen came out of the goal and Kerkko Koivuranta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Känsäkangas's Terho Voutilainen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Känsäkangas from getting a goal against them. Toimi Saravo's late challenge caught a Ac Big Balls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toimi Saravo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Känsäkangas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toimi Saravo to maneuver through the defense. Ac Big Balls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Veli-Matti Somervuori in the 29th minute. The corner led Ac Big Balls's Veli-Matti Somervuori to fire away a dangerous shot which Terho Voutilainen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Heino Laatikainen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niko Häkkinen having to make a save. Paavali Urholin charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tuomo Lindström's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Niko Häkkinen firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tuomo Lindström got free with Niko Häkkinen in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 56 minutes, Heino Laatikainen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Känsäkangas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heino Laatikainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Ac Big Balls's Kerkko Koivuranta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Terho Voutilainen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Ac Big Balls's Niko Häkkinen got control of the ball when Tuomo Lindström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tuomo Lindström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Niko Häkkinen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Känsäkangas booed when Ac Big Balls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esa Leinonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Ac Big Balls's Niko Häkkinen got control of the ball when Toimi Saravo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kerkko Koivuranta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kerkko Koivuranta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Terho Voutilainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ac Big Balls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ac Big Balls's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
