The supporters of Kainuunmäki IFK booed when LA Murica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Verneri Laamanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilmari Virta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esko Enola in the 36th minute of the match. If Kari Kurttila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Voitto Lähteenmäki made the kick off in the second half. Esko Enola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 70 minutes, Vesa Blomquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kainuunmäki IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vesa Blomquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vesa Blomquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarkko Uhlbäck took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilmari Virta. Kainuunmäki IFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ilmari Virta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Voitto Lähteenmäki in the 85th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Kainuunmäki IFK got a freekick which was hit by Kari Kurttila. Ahvo Kalto hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Esko Enola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The LA Murica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kainuunmäki IFK's performance. The match ended with a win for Kainuunmäki IFK.
