Kainuunmäki IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suonola IFK the free kick. In the 27th minute Suonola IFK were awarded a corner. Aukusti Vento went to the cornerflag to take it. Ilmari Virta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eerikki Myllyniemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes Kainuunmäki IFK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aukusti Vento who took care of the corner kick. Aukusti Vento made a great header on Suonola IFK's corner, it was just that Kainuunmäki IFK's Ilmari Virta managed to reach the ball for a save. Raino Urholin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kainuunmäki IFK. In the 72nd minute Eerikki Myllyniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilmari Virta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Harju succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 73rd playminute. Aukusti Vento kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
