Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marko Myötänen got the match started through his kick off. Piltola FC's Ilkka Karalahti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veimo Kaarniemi in the 4th minute of play. Tauno Häkkinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Raisanen having to interfere. A collision led to Santaniemi getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jaakko Lotvonen hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Tauno Häkkinen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lasse Raisanen, passed just outside the right post. In the 15th minute Marko Myötänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Raisanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Santaniemi's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Myötänen came free, but Lasse Raisanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Piltola FC's zone, Veimo Kaarniemi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilkka Karalahti came out of the goal and Veimo Kaarniemi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Voitto Raisanen kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Oliver Lehterä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arho Jämsänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arho Jämsänen in the 27th minute of play forced Piltola FC's goalkeeper Ilkka Karalahti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilkka Karalahti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veimo Kaarniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Ilkka Karalahti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veimo Kaarniemi in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arho Jämsänen was the one to do the kick off. When Veimo Kaarniemi came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Santaniemi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veimo Kaarniemi couldn't finish the play. Arho Jämsänen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilkka Karalahti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Veimo Kaarniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ilkka Karalahti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, one of Piltola FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Piltola FC. The referee gave Santaniemi a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ruupo Hautaniemi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Piltola FC's Ilkka Karalahti. 0-1. Ilkka Karalahti was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ruupo Hautaniemi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arvi Tammisto during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Piltola FC's Arvi Tammisto got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Arho Jämsänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaakko Lotvonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santaniemi's Kimi Jämsä pulled a muscle in his back after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Voitto Raisanen fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piltola FC's protests and gave Voitto Raisanen a yellow card for diving instead. When Tauno Häkkinen came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Piltola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tauno Häkkinen couldn't finish the play. After 90 played minutes Piltola FC got a freekick which was hit by Marko Myötänen. Lasse Raisanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Myötänen, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Piltola FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santaniemi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
