Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arho Jämsänen got the match started through his kick off. Uljas Ronkainen kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Niilo Kimmonen struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Lasse Raisanen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Northern Villa FC. Arho Jämsänen might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahto Kärkkäinen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arho Jämsänen ran back to his position shaking his head. Ahto Kärkkäinen came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Santaniemi's Arho Jämsänen. But to his dismay, Arho Jämsänen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a little luck, Northern Villa FC's Ahto Kärkkäinen got control of the ball when Veimo Kaarniemi tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Asko Karhunen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Arho Jämsänen came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Santaniemi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arho Jämsänen couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Santaniemi booed when Northern Villa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uljas Ronkainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Veimo Kaarniemi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ahto Kärkkäinen made a huge save. Veimo Kaarniemi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Ahto Kärkkäinen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 39 minutes, Arho Jämsänen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santaniemi and the Northern Villa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Santaniemi's Arho Jämsänen got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 46th minute, Santaniemi's Arho Jämsänen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Asko Karhunen made the kick off in the second half. Lasse Raisanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asko Karhunen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santaniemi's Veimo Kaarniemi got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Northern Villa FC's Jari Meltoranta got a free kick in the 57th minute. Arho Jämsänen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahto Kärkkäinen having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Asko Karhunen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Asko Karhunen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lasse Raisanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahto Kärkkäinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaakko Lotvonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lasse Raisanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asko Karhunen in the 70th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Veimo Kaarniemi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ahto Kärkkäinen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ahto Kärkkäinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arho Jämsänen, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 87 minutes of play, Santaniemi's Veimo Kaarniemi made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahto Kärkkäinen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Veimo Kaarniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahto Kärkkäinen having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Northern Villa FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santaniemi.
