Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in FC Rantsus Tigers's zone, Arho Jämsänen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eero Pylkäs came out of the goal and Arho Jämsänen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arho Jämsänen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute Arho Jämsänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eero Pylkäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arho Jämsänen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eero Pylkäs was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Lasse Raisanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Touko Kärnä, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Arho Jämsänen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eero Pylkäs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Veimo Kaarniemi had several of the FC Rantsus Tigers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 27 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Eero Pylkäs as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Arho Jämsänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Arho Jämsänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eero Pylkäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Veimo Kaarniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petteri Hakanen to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, FC Rantsus Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikolai Venäläinen to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veimo Kaarniemi in the 58th minute of play forced FC Rantsus Tigers's goalkeeper Eero Pylkäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eero Pylkäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veimo Kaarniemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Rantsus Tigers's Eero Pylkäs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veimo Kaarniemi in the 65th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Veimo Kaarniemi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eero Pylkäs was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Veimo Kaarniemi during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eero Pylkäs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arho Jämsänen, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Veimo Kaarniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Eero Pylkäs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petteri Hakanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Raisanen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petteri Hakanen in the 100th minute of play forced Santaniemi's goalkeeper Lasse Raisanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Santaniemi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
