After a rather tough play, Santaniemi's Jaakko Lotvonen got a free kick in the 4th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ukko Järvinen got free with Lasse Raisanen in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 12 in the game by Ukko Järvinen from a close distance when the talented Lasse Raisanen managed to make a qualified save. Santaniemi's players were relieved. Kaarle Rimpiläinen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lasse Raisanen having to make a save. When Raino Lönnblad fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sosiaalinen pelko's protests and gave Raino Lönnblad a yellow card for diving instead. Raino Lönnblad kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Santaniemi's goal looked a bit too open when Kaarle Rimpiläinen came free, but Lasse Raisanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Veimo Kaarniemi came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Santaniemi fans jumped to their feet. Lasse Raisanen made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Ukko Järvinen sent off a good shot on target. After 35 minutes, Ismo Kousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sosiaalinen pelko and the Santaniemi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Sosiaalinen pelko was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismo Kousa to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Kimi Jämsä shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jukka-Pekka Rantala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Veimo Kaarniemi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jukka-Pekka Rantala was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kaarle Rimpiläinen made a kick off. Kaarle Rimpiläinen hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Sosiaalinen pelko's Jukka-Pekka Rantala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Sosiaalinen pelko from getting a goal against them. Kaarle Rimpiläinen struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Lasse Raisanen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sosiaalinen pelko. Ukko Järvinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Lasse Raisanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santaniemi's Lasse Raisanen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarle Rimpiläinen in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Santaniemi's goal looked a bit too open when Ukko Järvinen came free, but Lasse Raisanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ukko Järvinen in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lasse Raisanen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arho Jämsänen hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Kaarle Rimpiläinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Raisanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santaniemi's Lasse Raisanen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ukko Järvinen in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santaniemi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
