Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jere Pisto in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aleksi Huikari prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tarvaspohja's Aleksi Huikari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarkko Niskala in the 13th minute of play. Jere Pisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Aleksi Huikari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taneli Sulin charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Taneli Sulin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tarvaspohja! Tauno Hiltunen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asmo Kopelmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iivo Paukkunen hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jere Pisto in the 32nd minute of play forced Tarvaspohja's goalkeeper Aleksi Huikari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tommi Mäkelä fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarvaspohja's protests and gave Tommi Mäkelä a yellow card for diving instead. Tommi Mäkelä hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Yrjänä Nylund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tarvaspohja's supporters rose to their feet, but Yrjänä Nylund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tauno Hiltunen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anton Kinnunen hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Tauno Hiltunen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sulo Lönnblad. Aleksi Huikari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarkko Niskala in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Yrjänä Nylund reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tauno Hiltunen. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jere Pisto was the one to do the kick off. Tauno Hiltunen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauri Vahalahti in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Lauri Vahalahti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tarvaspohja's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauri Vahalahti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tauno Hiltunen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yrjänä Nylund in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Raumo's goalkeeper Tauno Hiltunen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yrjänä Nylund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tauno Hiltunen having to interfere. Jarkko Niskala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ossi Anttila charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ossi Anttila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 75 minutes into the match, FC Raumo's goal looked a bit too open when Yrjänä Nylund came free, but Tauno Hiltunen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iivo Paukkunen hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jere Pisto in the 79th minute of play forced Tarvaspohja's goalkeeper Aleksi Huikari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tarvaspohja booed when FC Raumo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arho Helminen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Tarvaspohja's Lauri Vahalahti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tauno Hiltunen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Jere Pisto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aleksi Huikari having to make a save. 93 minutes into the match, FC Raumo's goal looked a bit too open when Yrjänä Nylund came free, but Tauno Hiltunen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarvaspohja were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Raumo for a fine match.
