Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vesa Tammisto got the match started through his kick off. After 6 played minutes, Tarvaspohja's Taneli Sulin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ismo Kuusela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tarvaspohja reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Lauri Vahalahti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tarvaspohja's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauri Vahalahti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismo Kuusela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Jääskä's zone, Lauri Vahalahti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismo Kuusela came out of the goal and Lauri Vahalahti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Lauri Vahalahti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarvaspohja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauri Vahalahti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Yrjänä Nylund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tarvaspohja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Tarvaspohja's goal looked a bit too open when Vesa Tammisto came free, but Aleksi Huikari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vesa Tammisto might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aleksi Huikari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vesa Tammisto ran back to his position shaking his head. Asmo Kopelmo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When Tarvaspohja's Yrjänä Nylund in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jääskä's goalie prevented a goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yrjänä Nylund was the one to do the kick off. If Yrjänä Nylund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Lauri Vahalahti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tarvaspohja's Aleksi Huikari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vesa Tammisto in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jääskä's zone, Lauri Vahalahti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismo Kuusela came out of the goal and Lauri Vahalahti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute Vesa Tammisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksi Huikari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yrjänä Nylund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismo Kuusela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yrjänä Nylund in the 72nd minute of the match. If Yrjänä Nylund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tarvaspohja booed when Jääskä was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atro Heinikangas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paavo Lehti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Aleksi Huikari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tarvaspohja fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jääskä had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
