In the 14th minute Atso Kangaskorpi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismo Kuusela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toni Strömberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaarlo Keskinarkaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Atso Kangaskorpi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KooTeePee's Atso Kangaskorpi got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Toni Strömberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vesa Tammisto, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Atro Heinikangas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Toni Strömberg, 1-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vesa Tammisto to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Atso Kangaskorpi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Hemmo Suoraniemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, KooTeePee's goal looked a bit too open when Vesa Tammisto came free, but Toni Strömberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KooTeePee were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
