Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) FC Raumo's Jere Pisto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vesa Tammisto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tauno Hiltunen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Ismo Kuusela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jere Pisto, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Jere Pisto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Raumo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jere Pisto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute, Kaarlo Keskinarkaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Jarkko Niskala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismo Kuusela. Jääskä's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jarkko Niskala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jääskä's Ismo Kuusela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jere Pisto in the 19th minute of play. Jarkko Niskala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ismo Kuusela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paavo Lehti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vesa Tammisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tauno Hiltunen having to interfere. Jere Pisto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismo Kuusela having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, Jääskä's goal looked a bit too open when Jarkko Niskala came free, but Ismo Kuusela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paavo Lehti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tauno Hiltunen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vesa Tammisto to make the kick off. When Vesa Tammisto came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Jääskä fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vesa Tammisto couldn't finish the play. If Paavo Lehti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Paavo Lehti notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Raumo's Tauno Hiltunen. Tauno Hiltunen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jere Pisto in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismo Kuusela saved Jääskä from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Jääskä's Kaarlo Keskinarkaus got a free kick in the 76th minute. Jääskä's Ismo Kuusela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jere Pisto in the 79th minute of play. If Vesa Tammisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jere Pisto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jere Pisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ismo Kuusela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismo Kuusela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Kinnunen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Raumo booed when Jääskä was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antti Leino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jere Pisto during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jere Pisto kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Jarkko Niskala's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Ismo Kuusela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
