The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Nissi getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Aatos Immonen hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Nissi's goalkeeper Leo Laaksonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pentti Kortelainen. Nissi's Jyri Wahlroos got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jyri Wahlroos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Nissi's Reijo Mäkilä sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrick Sulonen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eetu Laiho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eetu Laiho came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Crijevčići.FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eetu Laiho couldn't finish the play. Jyri Wahlroos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eetu Laiho made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kerkko Moskuvaara during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jyri Wahlroos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Patrick Sulonen made a huge save. Patrick Sulonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reijo Mäkilä, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reijo Mäkilä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Sulonen having to interfere. If Jyri Wahlroos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Sulonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reijo Mäkilä in the 71st minute of play. Nissi's Reijo Mäkilä got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Nissi's zone, Tuukka Lönnblad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Laaksonen came out of the goal and Tuukka Lönnblad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crijevčići.FK's goalkeeper Patrick Sulonen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Reijo Mäkilä managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nissi's supporters rose to their feet, but Reijo Mäkilä was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Sulonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaakkima Saastamoinen's late challenge caught a Crijevčići.FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaakkima Saastamoinen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Crijevčići.FK booed when Nissi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaakkima Saastamoinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eetu Laiho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Sulonen was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Reijo Mäkilä capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reijo Mäkilä really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nissi walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
