In the 26th minute, Atro Eklund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leevi Kangasniemi kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Sokolina.FK's Riku Kaitainen in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mylly's goalie prevented a goal. After recieving a nice pass, Sokolina.FK's Sauli Vuorinen tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Heikki Blomquist to strike the kick off in the second half. Hemminki Raukko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Kaski having to interfere. A collision led to Sokolina.FK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Eino Poikolainen hit a great ball. Hemminki Raukko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Leif Kaski made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riku Kaitainen in the 68th minute of play forced Mylly's goalkeeper Petri Vaakanainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Atro Eklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sokolina.FK booed when Mylly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Lindfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Mylly's goal looked a bit too open when Heikki Blomquist came free, but Petri Vaakanainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mylly walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
