The attack was good, but when Petteri Laaksonen in the 8th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Petteri Laaksonens short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Paavo Niinimäki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in FC Vehmainen's zone, Miska Jokiranta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paavo Niinimäki came out of the goal and Miska Jokiranta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petteri Laaksonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When FC Jäätävä Polte's Miska Jokiranta in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Vehmainen's goalie prevented a goal. FC Vehmainen's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Miska Jokiranta 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 29th minute Miska Jokiranta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paavo Niinimäki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paavo Niinimäki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petteri Laaksonen in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, FC Vehmainen's goal looked a bit too open when Miska Jokiranta came free, but Paavo Niinimäki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miska Jokiranta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Paavo Niinimäki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute of the match, Eeli Määttä tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paavo Niinimäki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paavo Niinimäki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miska Jokiranta in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Petteri Laaksonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the FC Vehmainen defense, Miska Jokiranta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paavo Niinimäki. The FC Vehmainen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paavo Niinimäki should have stopped the shot. A collision led to FC Jäätävä Polte getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Juuso Kaltiainen hit a great ball. When FC Jäätävä Polte's Petteri Laaksonen in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FC Vehmainen's Paavo Niinimäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miska Jokiranta in the 59th minute of play. Paavo Niinimäki came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Jäätävä Polte's Petteri Laaksonen. But to his dismay, Petteri Laaksonen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After having played for 67 minutes, Miska Jokiranta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Jäätävä Polte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miska Jokiranta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Petteri Laaksonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Miska Jokiranta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paavo Niinimäki. FC Vehmainen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miska Jokiranta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Paavo Niinimäki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miska Jokiranta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Urpo Petriläinen fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Vehmainen's protests and gave Urpo Petriläinen a yellow card for diving instead. FC Vehmainen's Paavo Niinimäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miska Jokiranta in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Miska Jokiranta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paavo Niinimäki was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 83rd minute, Petteri Laaksonen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Jäätävä Polte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 86th minute, Juuso Kaltiainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paavo Niinimäki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petteri Laaksonen, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Miska Jokiranta struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Paavo Niinimäki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Jäätävä Polte. 95 minutes into the match, Miska Jokiranta notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of FC Vehmainen's Paavo Niinimäki. Paavo Niinimäki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Jäätävä Polte fully deserved thier win.
