Toni Uhlbäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kullervo Raita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toni Uhlbäck ran back to his position shaking his head. After 9 played minutes JJ Puujalat got a freekick which was hit by Jouko Pakarinen. If Arttu Hiukka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kullervo Raita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Uhlbäck in the 19th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Toni Uhlbäck kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kullervo Raita. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Veikko Tallus scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tero Keinänen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arttu Hiukka might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tero Keinänen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arttu Hiukka ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hemminki Korkeamäki during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st minute, Hemminki Korkeamäki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, JJ Puujalat's goal looked a bit too open when Arttu Hiukka came free, but Tero Keinänen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Toni Uhlbäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Tero Keinänen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Veikko Tallus showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 54 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jouko Sulin in the 61st minute of play forced JJ Puujalat's goalkeeper Tero Keinänen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Veikko Tallus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jouko Pakarinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Santeri Hati hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Veikko Tallus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veikko Tallus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Tero Keinänen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Arttu Hiukka made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. JJ Puujalat's Tero Keinänen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Västersund IFK's Eljas Moskuvaara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for JJ Puujalat. After 92 minutes, Jouko Sulin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Västersund IFK and the JJ Puujalat players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jouko Sulin hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Benjamin Hannus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tero Keinänen made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Veikko Tallus sent off a good shot on target. The JJ Puujalat supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Västersund IFK's performance. The match ended with a win for Västersund IFK.
