Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Västersund IFK's Veikko Tallus started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aimo Hassinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Kullervo Raita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kullervo Raita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aimo Hassinen in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Veikko Tallus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mika Takavirta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Arttu Hiukka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, JRiikolan Tiimi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miska Piiroinen to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aimo Hassinen in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kullervo Raita saved Västersund IFK from getting behind. After 17 played minutes JRiikolan Tiimi got a freekick which was hit by Julius Kuivalainen. After recieving a nice pass, Västersund IFK's Eljas Moskuvaara tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arttu Hiukka struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mika Takavirta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Västersund IFK. Mika Takavirta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arttu Hiukka in the 26th minute. After 31 played minutes JRiikolan Tiimi got a freekick which was hit by Sami Helkamo. Västersund IFK's Eljas Moskuvaara got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tuukka Vainio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arttu Hiukka got free with Mika Takavirta in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Martti Kaitainen, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 42 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mika Takavirta was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aimo Hassinen made a kick off. Veikko Tallus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the match, Västersund IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Juuso Karalahti came free, but Kullervo Raita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arttu Hiukka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mika Takavirta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute of the match Sami Helkamo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kullervo Raita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kullervo Raita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimo Hassinen in the 80th minute of play. Aimo Hassinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jouko Sulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mika Takavirta having to interfere. Kullervo Raita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aimo Hassinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Kullervo Raita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aimo Hassinen in the 95th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
