Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sylvesteri Reinikainen got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute Sylvesteri Reinikainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Pasoja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jokisuu FC's Ville Järvenpää proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Jokisuu FC from getting a goal against them. Sylvesteri Reinikainen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Rafael Pasoja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sylvesteri Reinikainen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Pasoja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. If Väinö Noronen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sylvesteri Reinikainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 22 minutes, Verneri Enola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kikkihiiri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Verneri Enola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kalervo Junnila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Reko Läänelä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Jokisuu FC's zone, Kalervo Junnila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ville Järvenpää came out of the goal and Kalervo Junnila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Väinö Noronen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kikkihiiri's Rafael Pasoja was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Verneri Enolas short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Ville Järvenpää to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sylvesteri Reinikainen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rafael Pasoja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Kikkihiiri's goal looked a bit too open when Väinö Noronen came free, but Rafael Pasoja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Sylvesteri Reinikainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jokisuu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sylvesteri Reinikainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Pasoja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylvesteri Reinikainen in the 44th minute of play forced Kikkihiiri's goalkeeper Rafael Pasoja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Verneri Enola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ville Järvenpää having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Kikkihiiri's Kalervo Junnila got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd match minute, Jokisuu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reko Läänelä to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Pasoja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Väinö Noronen in the 61st minute. Veikko Myllyniemi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ville Järvenpää. Jokisuu FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Väinö Noronen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Rafael Pasoja made a huge save. In the 67th minute, Kalervo Junnila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ville Järvenpää was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sylvesteri Reinikainen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Rafael Pasoja 76 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Jokisuu FC's Sylvesteri Reinikainen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Pasoja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Jokisuu FC booed when Kikkihiiri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilpo Paatelainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Väinö Noronen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ville Järvenpää took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalervo Junnila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Pasoja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylvesteri Reinikainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Kalervo Junnila might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ville Järvenpää. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kalervo Junnila ran back to his position shaking his head. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
