Spectators: 7730 (Terracing: 5799, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Veikka Vähäsavo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ahvo Jokila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kai Reijonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kai Reijonen came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Pitkäkangas's Ahvo Jokila. But to his dismay, Ahvo Jokila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Kai Reijonen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martti Toivanen in the 12th minute. Uolevi Mantila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Ytteresse's goalkeeper Kai Reijonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martti Toivanen. Ahvo Jokila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Reijonen having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Martti Toivanen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pitkäkangas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Martti Toivanen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kai Reijonen having to make a save. 29 minutes in the game, Ahvo Jokila fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kai Reijonen having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Pitkäkangas's Kai Reijonen threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahvo Jokila, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Martti Toivanen came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Pitkäkangas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martti Toivanen couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Ytteresse's Uolevi Mantila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uuno Alin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ytteresse's Kai Reijonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ytteresse from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahvo Jokila to strike the kick off in the second half. Ytteresse's Kai Reijonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahvo Jokila in the 52nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Veikko Vallin during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ytteresse getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Veikko Vallin hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Kuisma Laukka sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ytteresse's Kai Reijonen didn't even have to move. Martti Toivanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martti Toivanen in the 60th minute of play forced Ytteresse's goalkeeper Kai Reijonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ahvo Jokila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pitkäkangas's Ahvo Jokila got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ytteresse's Kai Reijonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eetu Savijoki in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Ahvo Jokila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kai Reijonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Eetu Savijoki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pitkäkangas's supporters rose to their feet, but Eetu Savijoki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kai Reijonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ahvo Jokila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kai Reijonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahvo Jokila in the 79th minute of play. Martti Toivanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahvo Jokila took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kai Reijonen. Kai Reijonen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Ytteresse's Kai Reijonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahvo Jokila in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pitkäkangas fully deserved thier win.
