Atro Ripatti started the match with the kick off. Rami Lehtonen hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atro Ripatti in the 8th minute of play forced Marttiini's goalkeeper Tauno Mäkelä to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ari Virkkunen came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Marttiini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ari Virkkunen couldn't finish the play. Nuutti Salo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aapo Kallioniemi in the 17th minute of the match. Aapo Kallioniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nuutti Salo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Sentimiento Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antti Timonen to maneuver through the defense. Nuutti Salo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aapo Kallioniemi in the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sentimiento Boca Juniors's zone, Aapo Kallioniemi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuutti Salo came out of the goal and Aapo Kallioniemi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuutti Salo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ari Virkkunen, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Ari Virkkunen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuutti Salo. Sentimiento Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ari Virkkunen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 32ndth minute of the game Aapo Kallioniemi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sentimiento Boca Juniors's Nuutti Salo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hannu Hotakainen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tauno Mäkelä. Marttiini's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nuutti Salo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ari Virkkunen's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Urho Pihlman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 46 played minutes Atro Ripatti rounded Marttiini's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Aapo Kallioniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuutti Salo having to interfere. Tauno Mäkelä came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Sentimiento Boca Juniors's Atro Ripatti. But to his dismay, Atro Ripatti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Aapo Kallioniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauno Ollonen charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauno Ollonen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sentimiento Boca Juniors booed when Marttiini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauno Ollonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tauno Mäkelä showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atro Ripatti, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Ari Virkkunen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuutti Salo having to interfere. Markus Hakamäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tauno Mäkelä having to interfere. Joona Sorsamäki hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Joona Sorsamäki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Nuutti Salo made a huge save. Ari Virkkunen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 91 minutes, Ari Virkkunen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marttiini's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ari Virkkunen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tauno Mäkelä showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atro Ripatti in the 94th minute of the match. If Atro Ripatti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sentimiento Boca Juniors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
