Maunu Laakso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Miettinen in the 17th minute of play forced Mennää FC's goalkeeper Petri Blomberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Alenius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvo Uusiniemi's late challenge caught a Puso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvo Uusiniemi helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Mennää FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvo Uusiniemi. Joakim Alenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Uusiniemi having to interfere. Kim Miettinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Blomberg having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sulho Lätti got free with Petri Uusiniemi in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sulho Lätti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Petri Uusiniemi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mennää FC reached it. Sauli Leinonen's late challenge caught a Mennää FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sauli Leinonen helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Puso FC got a freekick which was hit by Sauli Leinonen. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Sulho Lätti struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Petri Uusiniemi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mennää FC. Sulho Lätti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sulho Lätti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maunu Laakso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Petri Blomberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Puso FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Touko Kevari hit a great ball. Puso FC's Petri Uusiniemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sulho Lätti in the 70th minute of play. Sauli Leinonen kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Petri Uusiniemi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Alenius in the 73rd minute of the match. If Sulho Lätti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Petri Uusiniemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sulho Lätti, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Puso FC were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Mennää FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Keijo Miinalainen took the corner. Sulho Lätti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mennää FC booed when Puso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaj Harikkala didn't get a good kick on the ball.
