Tero Hauhtonen struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Petri Blomberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hölmölä FC. Joakim Alenius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arttu Jukkola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hölmölä FC's Daniel Hedberg got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Joakim Alenius made a precise shot to the right of Arttu Jukkola. Hölmölä FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With his leg Petri Blomberg managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Hölmölä FC's Anssi Hiedanpää fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joakim Alenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arttu Jukkola having to interfere. Anssi Hiedanpää recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Hölmölä FC booed when Mennää FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anssi Puurula didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tero Hauhtonen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petri Blomberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anssi Hiedanpää in the 34th minute of play. Tero Hauhtonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Blomberg having to interfere. Mennää FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Anssi Hiedanpää scored to the left of an out of position Petri Blomberg, making the score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anssi Hiedanpää in the 41st minute of play forced Mennää FC's goalkeeper Petri Blomberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tero Hauhtonen took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petri Blomberg. Petri Blomberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Sulho Lätti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arttu Jukkola having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Anssi Hiedanpää in the 56th minute of play forced Mennää FC's goalkeeper Petri Blomberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Oiva Välimäki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petri Blomberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Joakim Alenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sulho Lätti might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arttu Jukkola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sulho Lätti ran back to his position shaking his head. Hölmölä FC's Arttu Jukkola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Alenius in the 69th minute of play. Petri Blomberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anssi Hiedanpää in the 78th minute of the match. Arttu Jukkola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Alenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Anssi Hiedanpää shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petri Blomberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hölmölä FC had won after a very even match.
