Spectators: 6793 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lauri Ylimäki got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petteri Laatikainen in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jari Pakaslahti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lauri Ylimäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute of the match Toimi Kiprusoff sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jari Pakaslahti skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Mikola FC booed when Saukoski FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antti Jousmäki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Saukoski FC got a freekick which was hit by Joonas Mattila. In the 21st minute Petteri Laatikainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jari Pakaslahti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikola FC's Petteri Laatikainen got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petteri Laatikainen kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Akseli Hotakainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimi Sinkkonen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Otso Kultti. Jari Pakaslahti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lauri Ylimäki's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Antti Jousmäki fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saukoski FC's protests and gave Antti Jousmäki a yellow card for diving instead. Antti Jousmäki kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Mikola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esko Luhtio to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the game, Mikola FC's Petteri Laatikainen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jari Pakaslahti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 56th minute, Esko Luhtio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jari Pakaslahti. The goal made the score 0-2. Akseli Hotakainen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jari Pakaslahti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lauri Ylimäki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petteri Laatikainens short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Jari Pakaslahti to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 77th minute, Rainer Andersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Saukoski FC's Aatami Harjanne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimi Sinkkonen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Petteri Laatikainen came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Mikola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petteri Laatikainen couldn't finish the play. Jari Pakaslahti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauri Ylimäki in the 85th minute of the match. Jari Pakaslahti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lauri Ylimäki's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. The Saukoski FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mikola FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
