Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 150) With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atte Vihtilä in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petri Siponen saved Pihlajavaara from getting behind. Jaakko Korkeamäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pihlajavaara's zone, Atte Vihtilä stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petri Siponen came out of the goal and Atte Vihtilä tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atte Vihtilä in the 9th minute of play forced Pihlajavaara's goalkeeper Petri Siponen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auno Vaakanainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tauno Reimari in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Jaakko Korkeamäki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Kulbacka FC's Atte Vihtilä in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atte Vihtilä stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Pihlajavaara booed when Kulbacka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lassi Lagerblom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Lönnblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Auno Vaakanainen having to interfere. Tuukka Viitanen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petri Siponen having to make a save.
