Spectators: 5420 (Terracing: 4200, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 20) Ville Palo made the kick off and thus started the match. Lopenkyllastyny's Arttu Peteri got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rovevaara FC's Mauno Hannula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ari Anttila in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the Rovevaara FC defense, Ari Anttila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauno Hannula. The Rovevaara FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauno Hannula should have stopped the shot. Ari Anttila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauno Hannula was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Ari Anttila capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ari Anttila really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Julius Harikkala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mauno Hannula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Ari Anttila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lopenkyllastyny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ari Anttila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute Ari Anttila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauno Hannula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Lopenkyllastyny's Atso Lehto was substituted for Arttu Peteri. Lopenkyllastyny made a substitution. Pertti Kangasalusta replaced Jaakko Petsamo. Mauno Hannula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ari Anttila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torsti Rautee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sami Lahti, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes Lopenkyllastyny got a freekick which was hit by Pertti Kangasalusta. Ari Anttila hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Lopenkyllastyny's goal looked a bit too open when Sami Lahti came free, but Torsti Rautee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lopenkyllastyny! Auno Puurula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauno Hannula having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ville Palo in the 74th minute of play forced Lopenkyllastyny's goalkeeper Torsti Rautee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jouni Lepistö charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jouni Lepistö the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Jouni Lepistö hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jouni Lepistö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Atso Lehto fell near the penalty area in the 101st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lopenkyllastyny's protests and gave Atso Lehto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rovevaara FC booed when Lopenkyllastyny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 101 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atso Lehto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lopenkyllastyny fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rovevaara FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
