After a defensive mix-up in FC Minos's zone, Kaleva Puurula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timo Furuholm came out of the goal and Kaleva Puurula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaleva Puurula in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Minos's goalkeeper Timo Furuholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Minos getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ossi Hentunen hit a great ball. YoungHäyhä's Isko Nikko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verneri Rimpilä in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Verneri Rimpilä managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Minos's supporters rose to their feet, but Verneri Rimpilä was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isko Nikko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
