Pyry Rahkola scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lasse Kuivaharju, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pyry Rahkola was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Juventus FC got a corner. Saramo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner led Juventus FC's Petteri Kananen to fire away a dangerous shot which Lasse Kuivaharju despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Saramo's Leevi Hernesniemi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Konstantin Uitto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Saramo's Aarno Turunen got a free kick in the 60th minute. Hemmo Huuhtanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Kuivaharju having to interfere. Juventus FC's Pyry Rahkola got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Jaakob Laakkonen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juventus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saramo the free kick.
